The process: Once we have details of your property and a basic description of the building work you have in mind (sometimes this may include us visiting your home too) we will provide you with a fee proposal so that you are clear about the costs from the start.
We have shaped our service to ensure that the process is simple for you at every stage, so once you have confirmed that you want to proceed, we will start by looking at the different design options – and your own ideas – to maximise space and create your perfect home extension.
We will usually survey your home first and then produce sketch plans to show the different options available to give you a good feel for how your extension would look. Then, once you are settled on a design, we will create full architectural plans followed by - if you need one – making a planning application on your behalf too.
If you want to ensure that you get accurate and comparable quotes from builders, we can even prepare you a detailed tender pack that sets out the full specification of your building work. We can then assist you during the construction phases too, by handling your Building Control application.

What is involved? By working with a wide range of clients on a variety of different properties we have made the process of designing home extensions as easy as possible. We always start by listening to your own ideas, however big or small and can create innovative designs to suit all budgets.
Once we know what you have in mind we will offer advice on the different options, including the most cost-effective building solutions, and produce a range of sketch schemes to help decide what works best for you. To help you get accurate quotes for the actual building work we can prepare a detailed tender pack that will ensure any builder you ask for a quote understands exactly what to include.
After this we can turn the designs into full plans and if a planning application is needed, we will handle this for you too. Our full-project support doesn’t end there – most building work will require a building control application too, to ensure that any work is carried out meet the strict building regulations requirements. We can prepare and submit everything needed and, if you want us to, we can be on-hand throughout the construction work to offer advice and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Already Appointed an Architect? We can produce all plans in-house but if you have an architect on board for your project already or have previously had and architect create your building plans and simply want our input to lead on the planning side of things, that's fine too. We have a good relationship with a range of local architect’s practices and have worked collaboratively with many of them to deliver a variety of exemplary and exciting projects.
Aside from the plans, we also work with leading technical consultants that specialise in advising on matters such as drainage, structural engineering, heritage and ecology. Again, all of this (including appointing them on your behalf) is managed by us, ensuring that you receive the right quality, time and cost control for your project.
