Planning Applications & Architectural Design: Everything you need to gain planning permission for your barn conversion.

A new home in the country is idyllic for many people, but as anyone that has tried to get planning permission in rural areas will know, the route to gaining planning approval is far from simple!   That’s where we can help.

With large open spaces inside, agricultural buildings have fantastic potential for conversion and our innovative architectural design solutions have delivered spectacular results for our clients on numerous conversions all over the UK.

Using Class Q 'permitted development rights' which enable the conversion of former agricultural buildings into unique character homes can be one solution.

Or, for older, attractive traditional farm buildings and barns their heritage value can help support a case for conversion.  We can devise a heritage-led design to achieve a sensitive restoration and conversion, including preparing your planning application and a Listed Building Consent application if one is needed.
