A stunning new self-build home uniquely designed to our client’s needs. The perfect harmony of precise design and planning expertise!

The self-build journey is an incredibly exciting experience, certainly a tough one at times but always the best opportunity you will ever have to live in the house of your dreams.

Hampstead House started with a concept drawing prepared by our client’s ahead of our first design review meeting. Having discussed their requirements and vision for their home, we prepared a detailed quotation setting out all of the requirements for preparing their planning application, plus the necessary supporting information.

Our client purchased the 0.6 acre site in January 2024 which had previously been occupied by a small detached bungalow.  Immediately after appointment, our design team set about preparing a set of sketch drawings, informed by a combination of both the client’s vision and also the planning policy requirements identified by our in-house planning consultants.

The perfect combination of planning knowledge and design expertise allowed the project to move at rapid pace, with minor revisions to refine and shape the design until the final version was reached – and our clients knew it was the perfect fit for what they had hoped to achieve.

Great design is incredibly important, but a robust planning application is equally as vital to allow the proposal to go through the planning process smoothly.  Planning can seem extremely daunting, especially to self-builders with their dreams (and budget!) on the line and this is where an experienced planning team will really make a significant difference, and take away the stress as far as possible!

In this case, our top-rated team prepared the perfect planning application, resulting in no requested amendments, and a decision notice in just 8 weeks.  This will allow the build to start in a matter of weeks and for Hampstead House to emerge over the coming months into what will surely be one of Sudbrooke’s finest homes, uniquely designed with an enviable 6125 sqft (570m²) floorspace.
