Stuart is well known within the local construction and development sector having previously been Managing Director of the John Kinch Group, renowned for building luxury executive homes with exceptional attention to detail.

With his 30-year hands-on knowledge of housebuilding, Stuart's unrivalled understanding of the local house-building market compliments our planning consultancy work very well, offering a totally unique perspective and understanding of development costs, opportunities and potential risks to look out for.  For the developers that we work with, knowing their industry from the inside is an incredible bonus that no other local practice can match. 

In bringing his experience over to Fytche-Taylor Planning & Design, Stuart now leads the land-search and construction part of our business and will complete the development of our first bespoke new development site in summer 2022.   

Stuart works directly with landowners to agree terms for purchase of their land (in the form of options agreements), some of which we make available and sell as plots to local developers and self-builders – others are built-out by us using our local construction partners.

In addition, Stuart is the co-owner of Listers Timber, a builders merchants serving the construction and domestic market across the East Midlands.  Stuart and his family also founded and developed the multi-award winning The Elms retirement park in Torksey, which was renowned for its habitat creation and landscaping across the 350-home site, winning the prestigious David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation.

Whilst we've clocked up over 50 years in planning, architecture and construction between our team, Stuart and Oliver founded our unique company to bring all of these skills together in one place – and sharing this knowledge and experience is certainly proving to offer significant benefits and cost savings to our clients!
