North Lincolnshire: Draft Local Plan Consultation – Spring 2026

North Lincolnshire Council is progressing its new Local Plan, a key planning policy document that will shape future housing, economic development, infrastructure, and land use across the area for years to come.

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) 2025–2027, published in November 2025, sets out the timetable for preparing the Local Plan, including key opportunities for public consultation. The LDS confirms that the Draft Local Plan consultation is scheduled for Spring 2026, when preferred policies and proposed site allocations will be presented for public comment.

The new Local Plan will eventually replace existing planning policies and form the basis for planning decisions across the authority area. Following the Draft Plan stage in Spring 2026, the Council expects to progress to the Publication (Regulation 19) stage and then submit the plan for examination later in 2026.

North East Lincolnshire: Stage 3 Local Plan Review Consultation

North East Lincolnshire Council has begun Stage 3 of its Local Plan Review, inviting comments on the updated draft proposals that will guide development and land use in the borough.

This consultation builds on earlier engagement and reflects updated evidence, national policy changes, and feedback received from previous consultation rounds. It covers key themes such as the borough’s housing requirement and distribution, employment land needs, spatial strategy options, and proposed site allocations.

Stage 3 represents a significant opportunity for residents, businesses, and stakeholders to help shape the emerging Local Plan before the Council progresses to the next formal stages of preparation.
