All three phases have now been approved, with early construction works already underway on site.

Transforming the LNER Stadium: Imps Territory Secures Full Planning Approval

Fytche-Taylor Planning are proud to have secured full planning permission for the comprehensive redevelopment of Lincoln City FC’s LNER Stadium through the landmark Imps Territory project.

Delivered across three coordinated planning applications, the proposals have now all been approved, unlocking a multi-million pound investment that will transform the stadium into a vibrant, year-round destination for supporters, the local community and commercial partners.

With construction now underway on key elements of the scheme, the project marks a major milestone in the club’s long-term growth and its role at the heart of the city.

Delivering a New Era for the football cllub: From Vision to Delivery

The phased approach has enabled Lincoln City FC to begin delivering improvements while maintaining full operation throughout the football season. The approved scheme will enhance both the stadium’s commercial offer and the overall supporter experience, creating flexible, high-quality spaces for matchday and year-round use.

Key elements of the approved scheme include:

  • A new covered fan concourse behind the Rilmac Stand, providing a large all-weather gathering space

  • A new 500-capacity event and hospitality venue with enhanced bar and service facilities

  • First-floor conferencing, banqueting and corporate space for non-matchday use

  • A reconfigured Fan Village and fanzone with interactive activity areas and digital screens

  • Installation of large permanent big screens within the stadium and fan areas

  • A new community café and hub in partnership with the Lincoln City Foundation

  • Seating upgrades and accessibility improvements across key stands

  • Enhancements to the stadium public address system and overall matchday atmosphere

Together, these improvements represent one of the most significant upgrades to the stadium in a generation, creating a more inclusive, engaging and commercially sustainable venue. All images on this page: PolkeyCollins Architects.
